Attention : Virus outbreak in China

Virus outbreak in China.... 04/08/2009

BEIJING -- Public buses were ordered off the roads of a remote Chinese
town to control the possible spread of deadly pneumonic plague that
has killed three people and seemed poised to claim a fourth victim
Wednesday, residents and authorities said.

One patient hospitalized with the highly infectious lung disease was
"near death" while another person was in serious condition, according
to a notice from the health bureau of northwestern Qinghai province,
where the stricken town of Ziketan is located. Seven others infected
were "basically stable," the notice said.

Police have set up checkpoints around Ziketan, a farming town of
10,000 people in an ethnically Tibetan area, sealing it off to prevent
the spread of the disease that can kill in as few as 24 hours if left
untreated. Residents have reported that some people have tried to flee
the town on foot, though it's unclear if they made it past the
checkpoints.

Authorities have set up a cordon with a 17-mile (28-kilometer) radius
around Ziketan, more than 300 miles (480 kilometers) west of Beijing,
residents say. Calls to the town and provincial public security
bureaus rang unanswered.

Plague claims a 2nd life in northwest China town

BEIJING -- A second man has died of pneumonic plague in northwest
China, in an outbreak that prompted authorities to seal off an entire
town where about a dozen people were infected with the highly
contagious deadly lung disease, a state news agency said.

The man who died Sunday was identified only as 37-year-old Danzin from
Ziketan, the stricken town in Qinghai province, the official Xinhua
News Agency said.

Danzin was a neighbor of the first person who died, a 32-year-old
herdsman whose name was not given. Another 10 people, mostly relatives
of the first deceased man, were infected and undergoing isolated
treatment in hospital, Xinhua said in a report late Sunday.

The town of 10,000 people has been placed under quarantine and a team
of experts was being sent to the area, it said. The local health
bureau warned Sunday that anyone with a cough or fever who has visited
the town since mid-July should seek treatment at a hospital.

Pneumonic plague is spread through the air and can be passed from
person to person through coughing, according to the World Health
Organization. It is caused by the same bacteria that occurs in bubonic
plague - the Black Death that killed an estimated 25 million people in
Europe during the Middle Ages.

While bubonic plague - which is usually transmitted by flea bite - can
be treated with antibiotics if diagnosed early, pneumonic plague is
one of the deadliest infectious diseases. According to the WHO, humans
can die within 24 hours of infection.

Public buses were pulled off the streets, and few shops were open,
according to a food seller living in Ziketan, surnamed Han. The public
have been told to disinfect their homes and shops, he said.

"Yesterday afternoon there were police patrolling on the streets,
advising the shops to close," said Han, who gave only his surname
because of the sensitivity of the issue. "I took a stroll out of my
shop earlier this morning and found that only around 20 shops are open
in town. There are few people or vehicles on the streets."

China has had previous cases of plague, a disease that circulates
mainly among small animals like rats and mice but can also infect
humans. Experts have said most cases in China's northwest occur when
hunters are contaminated while skinning infected animals.

Pneumonic plague is the least common and most deadly form of the
disease. It can be directly spread between humans since the bacteria
is airborne and can easily be inhaled by those in close contact with
infected patients. But if treated early with antibiotics, it is
curable.

The outbreak, first detected July 30, has killed three. There have
been no reports of new infections and authorities continue to track
close contacts of the sickened, the health bureau said.

The three were neighbors, and most of the other sickened people are
relatives of the first victim, a 32-year-old herdsman who became ill
after burying his dog, according to a spokesman with the provincial
government surnamed Wang.

Worldwide, thousands of plague cases are reported each year, mostly in
Africa. Between 1998 and 2008, nearly 24,000 cases were reported,
including about 2,000 deaths, in Africa, Asia, the Americas and
eastern Europe.

A Beautiful Hadith

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: 'When a man dies
and his relatives are busy in funeral, there stands an extremely
handsome man by his head. When the dead body is shrouded,
that man gets in between the shroud and the chest of the deceased.
Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) bersabda : 'Bila seseorang

After funeral, everyone go home, 2 angel Mungkar and Nakir, come
in grave and try to separate this handsome man so that they can
question men died the single-handedly on his obedience to Allah.
But the handsome man said, he is my friends. I will not left him
single-handedly notwithstanding. If you fixed to ask, do your work.
I cannot left him until I find out he included into heaven.
Aku takkan meninggalkannya seorang diri walau apa pun.

Thereafter he turns to his dead companion and says, 'I am the Qur'an,
which you used to read, sometimes in a loud voice and sometimes in
a low voice. Do not worry. After the interrogation of Munkar and Naker,
you will have no grief.'

When the interrogation is over, the handsome man arranges for him from
Al-Mala'ul A'laa (the angels in Heaven) silk bedding filled with musk.
dipenuhi bauan kesturi

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: 'On the Day of Judgement,
before Allah, no other Intercessor will have a greater status than the
Qur'an, neither a Prophet nor an angel.'

Please keep forwarding this 'Hadith' to all ....because
Sila sebarkan Hadis ini kepada semua .......kerana

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said:
Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) bersabda:

'Pass on knowledge from me even if it is only one verse'.
'Sampaikan pengetahuan dari ku walaupun hanya satu ayat.'

Still want to eat Geragau Shrimp

Ahad, Ogos 02, 2009

From: sitimahyun

KERIAN 1: INDUSTRI GERAGAU

(KERIAN 1: GERAGAU INDUSTRY)

Selama 3 hari bermula 10-12 Julai 2009, aku berkesempatan
(For 3 days beginning 10-12 Julai 2009, I had
position to accompany the Chairman of the investigation to

the Regional Larut and Kerian, Perak. Insya'Allah begins with
entry on this day, I will tuck anything that happening

in this interesting area. Which will made it take a good example.)

Aku pasti, bila ditanya tentang udang geragau. Pasti kalian rasa
teruja dengan rasanya. Udang geragau ini apabila dimasak
dengan nasi goreng memang menyelerakan. Itu belum lagi di
tambah dalam masakan-masakan lain dan ada sesetengah
mereka menjadikannya bahan utama utama untuk resipi sambal
dan kuah bagi mee.
(I am sure, when asked about the geragau shrimp. Sure you feel
very yummy with it. When the geragau shrimp is cooked with
fried rice is to be very tasty. It was not yet in
add-in cooking and culinary. Some have make the main material

for the main condiment recipe and dressing for mee.)

(I accidentally exist with this industry when the last visit after arriving
in Kuala Gula jeti, Kerian yesterday. I see Chinese people here who are
fishermen make shrimp geragau largely as a result
their income. I was quite surprised with this discovery.
View only dried shrimp that is only placed on the canvas on the

ground. Often for the wise, such as drying is built on the uniquely
pangkin.)

Udang geragau yang basah dijemur. Kemudian pekerja Indonesia
membalik-balikkan udang itu supaya ia cepat kering. Apa yang tidak
sepatutnya berlaku ialah, pakaian pekerja berkenaan.

(Geragau Shrimp wet will be dried. Indonesian workers will always
keep turning the shrimp so that it dried quickly. What should not
apply to workers is how to dress)

Lihatlah mereka hanya berpakaian seluar pendek sahaja. Rambut
(You see, they wear short pant and t-shirt only. Hair and sweat,
anytime can mixed wth geragau shrimp.)

Lihat juga kasut yang mereka pakai. Kasut itulah juga digunakan
untuk memijak tanah di luar kanvas. Sedap bukan udang geragau
yang kita makan?
(See also the sandals that they wear. Slippers that is also used
to tread the ground outside the canvas. Very savory geragau
shrimp not that we eat?)

Ini pula penemuan yang lebih mengejutkan! Tiba-tiba aku ternampak
(This is also a more surprising discovery! Suddenly I see two stray
dog tails in the laundry area)
Anjing-anjing tersebut dengan selamba melalui kawasan kanvas
jemuran. Manakala pekerja industri itu hanya membiarkan anjing-anjing
itu tanpa dihalau.
(Dogs that come to the laundry is left only. Industry workers only see
the dog and let the dogs without a chase.)

(Look how sweet shrimp geragau which will arrive at our home and we
share it with the dogs. Even a dog can be dog-dealing step geragau that
are dried in.)

(I am excited to continue to see the temperament of dogs while taking
pictures using the D60.
And ...)

Astagfirullah! Jadi kalian, masih mahu makan udang geragau lagi?
Entah mengapa aku geleng kepala.
Aduhai!
(Image above a finale to the industry geragau that I see! Look at the dog
involved in the left image that is deliberately urinate only a few centimeters
from the canvas laundry!
Astagfirullah! So you still want to eat geragau shrimp again?
Somehow I shake my head. In the situation we are excited with
the issue of halal food in Malaysia, we are still oblivious to see things like
this. Ah!)

Smile is Important

Jumaat, Julai 24, 2009

A smile is the light your window that tells others that
there is a caring, sharing person inside

Life is short but a smile is takes barely a second

Every tear has a smile behind it

A smile is a curve that sets everything straight

A good neighbor is a fellow who smiles at you over the back
fence, but doesn't climb over it

If you see a friend without a smile; give him one of yours

A smile on the lips, a grin spreads to the eyes, a chuckle
comes from the belly, but a good laugh bursts forth from soul,
over flows, and bubbles all around

Because of your smile, you make life more beautiful

Too often we under estimate the power of a smile,
which have the potential to turn a life around

Smiles are the language of love

The real man smiles in troble, gathers strength from distress,
and grows brave by reflection

A smile is an in expensive way to change your looks

All people smile in the same language

<

Children smile on the average 400 times/day;
Adult: 15 times/day.  Ever wonder why?

A warm smile is the uiversal language of kindness

If I thought that a smile of mine, might linger the
whole day through and lighten some heart with a
heavier part, I'd not with hold it -- Would you ???

Smile becouse God gave human this beautiful gift -
A smile.... I sometimes wonder do animals have
this beautiful gift of smiling

Smile, not because it costs you or not, but because
you can make someone smile and make their day

So smileeeeeee please :-)) ...... Hmmm ... good,
looks very good, in fact suits you! our the best :-)

10 most Poisonous Animals in the World

Selasa, Julai 21, 2009

From: zura

1. Box Jellyfish

The top prize for The World Most Venomous Animal, would go
to the Box Jellyfish.

It has caused at least 5,567 recorded deaths since 1954.

Their venom is among the most deadly in the world. Its toxins
attack the heart, nervous system, and skin cells. And the worst
part of it is that jelly box venom is so overpoweringly painful, that
human victims go in shock, drown or die of heart failure before
even reaching shore. Survivors experience pain weeks after the
contact with box jellies..

You have virtually no chance to survive the venomous sting,
unless treated immediately. After a sting, vinegar should be
applied for a minimum of 30 seconds. Vinegar has acetic acid,
which disables the box jellys nematocysts that have not yet
discharged into the bloodstream (though it will not alleviate the pain).
Wearing panty hose while swimming is also a good prevention
measure since it can prevent jellies from being able to harm your
legs.

Jelly box can be found in the waters around Asia and Australia.

2. King Cobra

The King Cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) is the worlds longest
venomous snake - growing up to 5.6 m (18.5 ft) in length.

Ophiophagus, literally means snake-eater as it eats other snakes..
One single bite of this deadly snake can easily kill a human.

This snake is even capable of killing a full-grown Asian Elephant
within 3 hours if the larger animal is bitten in a vulnerable area
such as the trunk.

Its venom is not as toxic as other venomous snakes, but
King Cobra is capable of injecting 5 times more venom than
black mamba and can result in mortality up to 5 times faster than
that of the black mamba. It is quite widespread, ranging across
South and South-east Asia, living in dense highland forests.

3. Marbled Cone Snail

This little beautiful looking Marbled Cone snail can be as deadly
as any other animal on this list.

One drop of its venom is so powerful that it can kill more than 20
humans.

If you ever happen to be in warm salt water environment (where
these snails are often found) and see it, dont even think of picking
it up.

Of course, the true purpose of its venom is to catch its prey.

Symptoms of a cone snail sting can start immediately or can be
delayed in onset for days.

It results in intense pain, swelling, numbness and tingling..
Severe cases involve muscle paralysis, vision changes and breathing
failure.

There is no antivenom. However, only about 30 human deaths
have been recorded from cone snail envenomation.

4. Blue-Ringed Octopus

The Blue-Ringed Octopus is very small, only the size of a golf ball,
but its venom is so powerful that can kill a human. Actually it
carries enough poison to kill 26 adult humans within minutes,
and there is no antidote. They are currently recognized as one
of the worlds most venomous animals.

Its painless bite may seem harmless, but the deadly neurotoxins
begin working immediately resulting in muscular weakness,
numbness, followed by a cessation and breathing and ultimately
death.

They can be found in tide pools in the Pacific Ocean, from Japan
to Australia..

5. Death Stalker Scorpion

Contrarily to the popular belief most of the scorpions are relatively
harmless to humans as stings produce only local effects
(pain, numbness or swelling). However, the Death Starker Scorpion
is highly dangerous species because its venom is a powerful
cocktail of neurotoxins which causes an intense and unbearable
pain, then fever, followed by coma, convulsions, paralysis and
death. Fortunately, while a sting from this scorpion is extremely
painful, it would be unlikely to kill a healthy, adult human.
Young children, the old, or infirm (with a heart condition) are at
the biggest risk.

Death stalker scorpions are spread in North Africa and Middle
East.

6. Stonefish

Maybe Stonefish would never win a beauty contest, but it would
definitely win the top prize for being The World Most Venomous
Fish.

Its venom causes such a severe pain that the victims of its sting
want the affected limb to be amputated. It is described as the
worst pain known to man.

It is accompanied with possible shock, paralysis, and tissue
death. If not given medical attention within a couple of hours It
can be fatal to humans.

Stonefish stores its toxins in gruesome-looking spines that are
designed to hurt would-be predators.

Stonefish mostly live above the tropic of Capricorn, often found
in the shallow tropical marine waters of the Pacific and Indian oceans,

ranging from the Red Sea to the Queensland Great Barrier Reef.

7. The Brazilian wandering spider

The Brazilian Wandering Spider (Phoneutria) or banana spider
appears in the Guinness Book of World Records 2007

for the most venomous spider and is the spider responsible for
most human deaths.

This spider is believed to have the most potent neurotoxic venom
of any living spider. Only 0.006mg (0.00000021oz) is sufficient
to kill a mouse.

They are also so dangerous because of their wandering nature.

They often hide during daytime in highly populated areas inside
houses, clothes, boots, and cars.

Its venomous bite causes not only intense pain, the venom of the
spider can also cause priapism - uncomfortable erections

lasting for many hours that lead to impotence.

8. Inland Taipan

The prize for The Worlds Most Venomous Snake goes to the Inland
Taipan of Australia.

Just a single bite from this snake contains enough venom to kill
100 human adults or an army of 250,000 mice.

Its venom is at least 200 - 400 times more toxic than a common
cobra.

The Inland Taiwans extremely neu=otoxic venom can kill an adult
human in as little as 45 minutes.

Fortunately this snake is very shy and there have been no documented
human fatalities (all known bites were treated with antivenin).

9. Poison Dart Frog

If you ever happen to be running through the rain forests somewhere in
Central or South America,

do not ever pick up beautiful and colorful frogs - it can be the
Poison Dart Frog.

This frog is probably the most poisonous animal on earth.

The 2 inch long (5cm) golden poison dart frog has enough venom
to kill 10 adult humans or 20,000 mice.

Only 2 micrograms of this lethal toxin (the amount that fits on the
head of a pin) is capable of killing a human or other large mammal.

They are called dart frogs because indigenous Amerindians use of
their toxic secretions to poison the tips of their blow-darts..

Poison dart frogs keep their poison in their skins and will sicken
or kill anybody who touches or eats it.

10. Puffer Fish

Puffer Fish are the second most poisonous vertebrate on earth
(the first one is golden dart Frog).

The meat of some species is a delicacy in both Japan (as fugu)
and Korea (as bok-uh) but the problem is that the skin and certain

organs of many puffer fish are very poisonous to humans.

This puffy fish produce rapid and violent death..Puffers poisoning
causes deadening of the tongue and lips, dizziness, vomiting,
rapid heart rate, difficulty breathing, and muscle paralysis.
Victims die from suffocation as diaphragm muscles are paralyzed..

Most of the victims die after four to 24 hours.

There is no known antidote, Most deaths from fugu happen when
untrained people catch and prepare the fish.

Statistics show that there were 20 to 44 incidents of fugu poisoning
per year between 1996 and 2006 in all of Japan

and up to six incidents per year led to death.

Since Fugus poison can cause near instantaneous death, only
licensed chefs are allowed to prepare it.

Lihat sampai paling bawah.. bumi tak terlihat sama sekali..

From: Zura

Hebatkah kita di muka bumi ni?

Pernahkan Anda membayangkannya?

Lalu . . .

siapakah kita?

apakah tujuan hidup kita?

Apa yang membuat hidup kita, manusia, berharga?

Masihkah kita bisa menepuk dada & berkata "inilah aku!"...??

Sedangkan kita terlalu kerdil berbanding Tuhan yang mencipta sekelian alam.
